About WCA

About us
World Countertrade Association (WCA), founded in 2008 in Geneva, Switzerland, is a global network of B2B net markets, setup for the promotion of countertrade activities.
The Statutes and Mission Statement provides the general framework of WCA as a worldwide NGO network.
WCA Structure
WCA General Assembly of members meets once in two years and has the principal responsibility of formulation and review of policy and programmes. The General Assembly elects an Executive Committee which meets at least meet twice a year to decide on the more detailed activities and to ensure that the network is following the strategic directions set by the General Assembly. The WCA Secretariat, located in Geneva, executes the work plan and priorities as decided by the General Assembly and the Executive Committee. The Secretariat maintains communications with members in order to provide and solicit information.


WCA's Objectives
The objectives of the WCA and the Secretariat are to develop, promote and facilitate countertrade activities as a sustainable method for structuring international trade activities under the doctrine of reciprocity advantage for increased profits and without currency or other types of foreign trade risks.
